@aaronfoy
But you gotta tell us when you graduated. I was 30 when I finished my degrees.
I still take classes but it’s been about 4 years since I’ve had an on-campus class.
It’s been a recurring nightmare for most of my life.
That one and nuclear annihilation. GenX here, but that’s probably obvious from that 2nd nightmare.
I probably have this dream once a month. It’s probably a function of the fact that I am a chronic worrier. I’m 59 but only graduated with my EE in 2008. So, college is a recent memory for me. I was working full time while in school which upped the stress level considerably.
I used to feel there was a class in college in the 1980’s that I blew off but there was never any F or incomplete on my school record, so it must be a phantom memory from the fear of that happening.
@Lighter My nightmare was that I only had a few hours to grade several dozens of math final exams and then compute final course grades before needing to turn them in, then waking up and realizing that that was the actual situation I was in. Happened more than once because of the ridiculous schedule our college administrators would give us. They liked holding graduations on Fridays. One of the factors in my retirement.
Not for a long time, and I couldn’t tell you when the last time was since I rarely remember the substances of my dreams when I wake up. I do have a vague BTDT feeling about it though…

@chienfou Same - I guess my dream memory is full. These days I rarely remember much about my current dreams, but I do remember bits of dreams I had years ago.
Yes but not for a while (age 60). I do have a different anxiety dream now where I realize I forgot something important so the “I forgot the class” dream may have been replaced…
73, had that plus where I couldn’t read the question on the paper. But the craziest was realizing your completely naked… in university in the early 70’s and yes we did a lot of drugs and drinking.
High school gym class was on certain letter days. We had days A-F for our scheduling. You had gym class every other day. You had to bring your gym uniform, if you forgot you had to wear the stinky ones they kept for forgetters. Our gym teachers were very strict like being in armed forces.
I wake up in a cold sweat that I’ve forgotten my uniform or that I forgot what day it was and missed gym class.
I’m 56 years old in a few weeks.🥹
58 years young (Yeah, OLD!) and haven’t been in a proper educational institution, let alone missing a class, for some 30 years. “Oh SH*T!! There’s a test today?!?”
Was it a dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?
Yes, I’ve had that dream before (age 28), but the more common variant I get is the first day of highschool/college where I’m both late and hopelessly lost trying to get to the correct classrooms haha
@aaronfoy 43 at the time I had the most recent one; I commiserate.

@Clumber
Boomers have that one too…
I have been out of school while. When I take a class it’s for fun or something I really want to learn. Don’t care about any credits attached,
@mycya4me
Mostly the same. But recently my classes have been for professional development rather than personal development.
/showme Cats in school learning their favorite subjects.
@mycya4me Here’s the image you requested for “Cats in school learning their favorite subjects.”
@mediocrebot @mycya4me Wow, I wish I was in that class.
@cfg83 @mediocrebot @mycya4me I expected to see Professor McGonagall in that picture.
It’s not a dream for me. I missed an entire three part class series that I forgot I registered for.

Anxiety dream…
Freaking constantly. It’s still stressful as hell. 38

Then you wake up and am actually sitting in said class, but in your PJs because you sleepwalked there.
KuoH
80yo. Frequently. And I’m a retired college professor!

All the damn time. And what kind of bot asks a lady her age?
Not when I was a student, but I did when I was a HS teacher.
@rustyh3 62 and same. It’s less a dream than a memory.
@rustyh3 Yeah 68 and still having that dream, based on history

@texmarc
Yep! BTDT
@texmarc and streaking? (It was a fad in that time period and perhaps relevant to the dream.)
@phendrick I was there in Nacogdoches
I have that dream pretty often, age 55

I’m 58 and still have that dream all the time.
